Ash returns to Kanto and visits Viridian City, and discovers the new gym leader is Agatha of the Elite Four! Scott, a man who conveniently happens to be there, tells Ash about the Battle Frontier, causing Ash to enter.
The battle against Agatha is a one on one battle, Ash uses Pikachu while Agatha uses Gengar.
